The bookmobile returns to a limited schedule for April, May, and June 2021! Please see the schedule below for times and dates. Please note that the bookmobile will be traveling every other week until we can return to a full three-week schedule. Thank you!

Please follow these guidelines on your visit:

  • All stops will only be 30-45 minutes.
  • No one is allowed on the bookmobile at this time.
  • Please bring a list of books you would like us to take out to you in May. You may also use our online catalog to place holds. For assistance, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call the office at 505-841-5250.
  • Masks will be required at all times and 6 ft of physical distancing is required.
  • Please DO NOT come to the bookmobile if you are sick in any way.
  • One person at a time will be allowed to come to the table that is set up outside the bookmobile – you will pick up your books and drop off any returns you may have for us. Your returns can be placed in the check-in box on the table.
  • If a route is delayed or canceled due to weather or safety concerns, we will notify you as soon as possible via email, phone, or Facebook.

  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions, NO DONATIONS can be accepted.

Returns

If you have items currently checked out and wish to return them to us, you may request a return merchandise card and return your items to us, postage paid. Temporary Books-By-Mail

Bookmobile West will send books by mail from our collection to bookmobile patrons. View the online catalog at https://rbm.nmstatelibrary.org. Place a hold on items you would like to receive and a staff member will contact you to confirm and send your items. Contact the bookmobile office for assistance to log in to the catalog.

Career Online High School

Career Online High School is a new educational service offered by the Rural Services Program of the New Mexico State Library.  The program offers adults (19 plus years of age) the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and entry level career certificate at the same time. In this new bookmobile program, qualified and successful student applicants will receive one free full tuition scholarship from the library.  Please see https://nm.careeronlinehs.gale.com/ for more information about the program and student application instructions.
